PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress changes of seat height at the time of vehicular collision by a simple structure. SOLUTION: In the seat device 10, inertia acts on an occupant and a seat 12 at the time of the vehicular collision, and a large load is input to a cushion lower arm 14, so that rotation force acts on a front link 24 and a rear link 26, and moving force acts on a pinion gear 30. A gear portion 38 of a stopper link 32 is meshed with the pinion gear 30, so that the movement of the pinion gear 30 is limited to limit the movement of the seat 12. The gear portion 38 is meshed with the pinion gear 30 at all times. The pinion gear 30 is thereby restrained from being rotated until the movement of the pinion gear 30 is limited at the time of the vehicular collision, and changes of the height of the seat 12 is suppressed. The mechanism is unnecessary which prevents the gear portion 38 from meshing with the pinion gear 30 under a normal condition of a vehicle, so that a structure is simplified.
