PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reagent for measuring the activity of lipase by a simple enzyme method excellent in operability, accuracy and repeatability at a site for producing a lipase originated from a plant and/or a lipase originated from a microorganism or on the quality control of a clinical test reagent using a lipase originated from a plant and/or a lipase originated from a microorganism. SOLUTION: A monoglyceride produced by the reaction of the lipase originated from the plant and/or from the microorganism is detected by an enzyme method by using a diglyceride dissolved in a nonionic surfactant as a substrate of the lipase originated from the plant and/or the lipase originated from the microorganism. Thereby the reagent liquid composition excellent in accuracy/repeatability ensures storage stability for a long period, and enzymatically detects the monoglyceride produced by the reaction of the lipase originated from the plant and/or from the microorganism.
