A medical dressing comprises a fabric made of silver-coated fibers (1), an adhesive layer (2) and a moisture-absorbing layer (3), wherein the adhesive layer (2) may be an adhesive or a fabric, preferred nylon fabric, with low melting point of 60-300°C; the moisture-absorbing layer (3) may be made from absorbent cotton fibers, viscose fibers or chitin fibers; a medicament may be incorporated into the fabric made of silver-coated fibers (1) and the moisture-absorbing layer (3) by immersing. The fabric made of silver-coated fibers (1) can release silver ion which is able to combine with the sulfhydryl group on the cell wall of virus, fungus, mould and microorganism, as a result, the wound dressing has good antimicrobial and bactericidal properties. |
