The invention relates to a deivce/a method for monitoring the temperature of an item especially a good, a product or a fluid, for indicating when a defined inadmissible temperature range is reached. Sad device comprises at least one component, separated by at least one separating layer, which produces, upon discharge, especially upon contact of two components, an optical change to indicate the inadmissible temperature range. The separating layer remains impermeable in the inadmissible temperature range, while it becomes permeable in the admissible temperature range. When the separating layer is permeable, the components coming in contact with each other produce an indication in the inadmissible temperature range. When the separating layer is permeable, the components coming in contact with each other do not produce an indication in the admissible temperature range. |
