A rotating apparatus for testing engine performance is provided to prevent imbalance between a dummy wheel and a crankshaft by inserting an insertion part, which is balanced by pneumatic scheme, into the crank shaft. A rotating apparatus for testing engine performance comprises a dummy wheel attached to a drive plate of an engine, a driving shaft having a clamper attached thereon and a driving motor for rotating the driving shaft. The dummy wheel is provided with an insertion part, which is inserted into a crankshaft of the engine toward an axial direction of the crankshaft. The rotating apparatus includes air supply equipment for keeping air pressure in a predetermined level between the crank shaft and the insertion part.
