An image forming system and method capable of setting a printing option is provided to enable an image forming unit to print a document according to a printing option of each sheet which is differently set up when printing the document in a plurality of copies for a user to print the document in various formats more conveniently. A print control unit(110) sets differently a printing option of each sheet when printing a document in a plurality of copies and generates a setting instruction which controls an image forming system for the document to be printed according to the printing option of the each sheet. An image forming unit(150) receives the setting instruction and the document and prints the document according to the printing option of the each sheet.
