A broadcasting receiver, the data structure of diagnostic information, and a diagnostic information displaying method are provided to define and install a database used to manage application code images for each host to utilize the status information of a CPU of the host. A host includes a host controller. The host controller controls the host to receive an external request for diagnostic information related to a processing unit to drive an application, and to collect the requested diagnostic information. The host controller controls the host to receive the external request through a communication interface. The communication interface is a cable card. The host communicates with the cable card by using a generic diagnostic protocol. The requested diagnostic information represents the performance of the processing unit for the driving of the application.
