<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide wire excellent in strength and operability by preventing or relieving stress concentration at the joining portion of a first wire on the distal end side and a second wire on the proximal end side. <P>SOLUTION: The guide wire comprises a linear first wire 2 arranged on the distal end side, a linear second wire 3 arranged on the proximal end side of the first wire 2, and a welded portion 14 where the first wire 2 and the second wire 3 are joined by welding. The first wire 2 and the second wire 3 respectively have a first wire narrow diameter portion 191 and a second wire narrow diameter portion 192 where the diameter is narrower than the welded portion near the welded portion. The maximum outer diameter of the welded portion is roughly equal to or smaller than the outer diameter of the respective portions toward the distal end side of the first wire narrow diameter portion 191 and the proximal end side of the second wire narrow diameter part 192. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
