<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film which excels in adhesion and attachability to a polarizer, has such a desirable moisture permeability as to suppress the deterioration of a polarizing plate, and undergoes a small change in optical characteristics due to environmental temperature and humidity changes, a method for producing the optical film, an excellent optical compensation film, a polarizing plate and a liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: The optical film comprises a polycarbonate copolymer having a moisture permeability at 40°C and 90% RH being 200-400 g/m<SP>2</SP>×24 h and comprising a repeating unit represented by formula (A) and a repeating unit represented by formula (B), wherein the repeating unit represented by the formula (A) occupies 80-30 mol% of the whole, and/or a blend comprising the polycarbonate copolymer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
