PACKET TRANSFER DEVICE, SYSTEM, AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a set of packet transfer device, packet transfer system and packet transfer method for improving data transmission efficiency on an access network or a relay network.

SOLUTION: A packet transfer device registers packet transfer control information on each user terminal in a user administration table in the PPPoE connection and authentication phases for each user terminal and controls packet transfer, based on the user administration table in the DHCP phase and the IP transfer phase following the authentication phase. It employs a PPPoE frame format up to the authentication phase and an Ethernet frame format in the DHCP and IP transfer phases for packet transfer.
