PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone terminal capable of allowing the users to readily hear mutual voices, even when there is an opposite party in any countries. SOLUTION: The portable telephone terminal includes a communication control unit 9 for performing radio communication with a base station being connected at present so as to collect country classification information which indicates the country with the base station arranged therein; and a gain-setting part 11 for specifying the country, with the existence of an opposite-side terminal, based on the country classification information collected by the communication control unit 9 and the telephone number of the opposite-party terminal. The gain-setting part 11 sets the gain appropriate for the country, with the existence of the opposite terminal in a transmission amplifier 2 and a reception amplifier 6. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
