摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for estimating an instantaneous friction coefficient of a road surface with high precision. SOLUTION: The method for estimating a friction coefficient of a road surface 10 is related to an active chassis system, and a method, a system, and a computer program for estimation of road-to-wheel friction (RFE). It comprises a step 11 of continuously estimating the friction coefficient of a road surface using algorithm based on a dynamic model of a vehicle, a step 12 of setting a range of the friction coefficient of the road surface based on preliminarily set transitive or static vehicle travel parameters, and a step 13 of resetting the algorithm so as to maintain the friction coefficient of the road surface estimated by the step of estimating the friction coefficient of the road surface to be within the range of the friction coefficient of the road surface set by the range setting step.
