<p>In this image processing device, an image processing unit (102) performs a predetermined pre-processing of first image data and output the processed data as second image data, a judging unit (104) judges the importance of the first image data on the basis of the characteristics of the object included in the first image data, a reducing unit (105) reduces the amount of second image data according to the importance and output the reduced second image data as third image data. By using this image processing device, the amount of the second image data is reduced according to the importance of the first image data. Therefore, the lower the importance is, the more the amount of data can be reduced. Consequently, the power consumption and the necessary time of when image data after data reduction is transferred can be efficiently reduced.</p> |
