PHASE SHIFT BASED PRECODING METHOD AND TRANSCEIVER SUPPORTING THE SAME

A phase-shift based pre-coding method and a transceiver supporting the same are provided to relatively simplify a transceiver and maintain advantages of a phase-shift diversity scheme while supporting various spatial multiplexing rates. A reference column corresponding to a first sub-carrier is determined in a desired pre-coding matrix, and then the reference column is phase-shifted by an phase angle which is increased by a predetermined unit to determine the remaining columns. The transmission data is pre-coded by using the determined phase-shift based pre-coding matrix. The number of columns corresponding to a spatial multiplexing rate is selected in the determined phase-shift based pre-coding matrix, and the interesting pre-coding matrix is rearranged to be composed of only selected column.
