An artificial marble and a process for preparing the same are provided to produce a stripe-patterned artificial marble having a variegated and refined feeling by forming texture patterns in stripe patterns. An artificial marble having texture patterns in stripe patterns comprises texture patterns(3a,3b,3c,3d) having at least two colors, wherein the artificial marble comprises stripe patterns(1a,1b) which are discriminated by interfaces(4a,4b) formed between two discontinuously adjacent texture patterns with regard to the texture direction. In the artificial marble, the texture patterns have a combination of at least one acrylic texture patterns using an acrylic resin as a base resin and at least one unsaturated polyester texture patterns using an unsaturated polyester resin as a base resin.
