An apparatus for measuring a dynamic load radius of a tire and a method thereof are provided to measure the dynamic load radius at a sudden stop or start of a vehicle by applying a resultant value, obtained by exposing laser to a ground, to a Pythagorean theorem. An apparatus for measuring a dynamic load radius of a tire(100) comprises at least three laser sensors(130) attached to a shaft(120) of the tire to calculate a vertical length between the shaft and a ground. Three lengths between the shaft of the tire and the ground are obtained by emitting laser to the ground at various angles. Two lengths, except for the largest length, are applied to a Pythagorean theorem to calculate a vertical length between the shaft of the tire and the ground.
