<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant crash protection device, in which pressure characteristics of an airbag to a lumbar part and a chest part of an occupant can be separately adjusted to prevent mutual ill effects by easily carrying out tuning so as to obtain the optimum protective characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The occupant crash protection device for on-vehicle use is provided with a seat belt device B, of which one end part is installed on and fixed to a seat S where an occupant M is seated on the side of a car body side surface part 10 to restrain at least the lumbar part e of the occupant, a lumbar protecting side airbag device K installed on the seat-installed end part of the seat belt device to develop between the lumbar part e of the occupant and the car body side surface part on receiving a side collision, and a chest part protecting side airbag device N installed in a backrest 4 composing the seat to develop between the chest part of the occupant and the car body side surface part on receiving a side collision.
