<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fermentation product having a higher immunomodulatory action in comparison with a case using only a lactic acid bacterium, to provide a method for producing the same and its use as a food, beverage, etc. <P>SOLUTION: The composition having an immunomodulatory action, concretely, an antiallergic action or an antitumor action comprises a fermentation product obtained by inoculating a lactic acid bacterium, preferably Lactobacillus brevis UAS-4 strain (FERM-P20710), into a medium containing a composition obtained from asparagus, preferably a filtrate prepared by grinding and filtering asparagus and culturing the bacterium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
