<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide batteries which obtains excellent charge/discharge cycle properties with securing sufficient capacity and relieving deviation of pressure distribution in a winding body. <P>SOLUTION: A flat winding body 20 is housed in a battery can 11 having a shape of hollow rectangular parallelepiped. A positive electrode 21 and a negative electrode 22 are laminated and spirally wound through a separator 23 in the winding body 20. In the positive electrode 21, a positive electrode active material layer 21B is selectively formed on a positive collector 21A. An end of inner circumference of the positive electrode active material layer 21B is formed in a region which does not overlap with a positive lead 24 joined to the positive collector 21A in the direction of a minor axis J. As a result, local pressure rise in the winding body 20 can be avoided and pressure distribution reduced in deviation can be obtained and then the cycle properties can be improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
