PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an image forming apparatus which can perform a job including double-sided image printing on both sides of a sheet and single-sided image printing on only one side of a sheet usable even when a single-sided image printing sheet is not applicable to the double-sided sheet transfer and improve the productivity without making complicated controls for the output page order for image forming.

SOLUTION: Single-sided printing sheets supplied from the sheet supply following double-sided printing sheets are once stored in the sheet holding section and ejected after the double-sided sheets are ejected through the sheet re-supply path and the image forming section.
