PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device having excellent fitting property. SOLUTION: When assembling a motor 109, a worker engages a thin plate part JGa formed in a tip of a round bar-like fixture JG and extending in the radial direction with a groove 109e of a rotary shaft 109b exposed from an opening 109f of a case 109a. When the worker holds the fixture JG and rotates it, since the rotary shaft 109b is rotated through the thin plate part JGa and the groove 109e engaged with each other, the rotary shaft 109b can be slid in the axial direction in relation to a worm shaft 108A for engagement at a position wherein phase of a male serration 109d and phase of a female serration 108b match with each other. In such a state, the worker fastens the case 109a of the motor 109 to a housing 101, and fitting of the motor 109 is thereby concluded. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
