PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flash discharge lamp device capable of securely emitting light of a flash discharge lamp by applying sufficient trigger energy on the flash discharge lamp. SOLUTION: The flash discharge lamp device is provided with the flash discharge lamp having an arc tube 2 with a pair of electrodes 1 oppositely arranged, and an adjacent conductor 3 for feeding a high voltage extending over between the electrodes 1 in an external of the arc tube 2 of the flash discharge lamp. The adjacent conductor 3 for feeding a high voltage is arranged inside a sealed tube body 4 of glass, and is a metal rod with one end part connected to a metal foil 33. The metal rod 3 has a recessed part 30, and the sealed tube body 4 at a part opposite to the recessed part 30 of the metal rod 3 and the metal foil 33 is molten, and the adjacent conductor 3 for feeding a high voltage is sealed in the sealed tube body 4.
