PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linker that can generate an execution format file with initial values of the same value gathered in a single location, and an information processing device that is suited to load the execution format file. SOLUTION: The linker 1 has a variable detection part 11 for searching object files 300 to be linked to detect variables of the same type and the same initial value, an initial value integration part 12 for storing an integral initial value integrating the initial values of the variables detected by the variable detection part 11 in an initial value storage area of an execution format file 20, a transfer table generation part 13 for creating in the execution format file 20 a transfer table 21 setting the storage address of the integral initial value as a source address and setting the storage addresses of the variables using the integral initial value as destination addresses, and a transfer routine generation part 14 for generating in the execution format file 20 a transfer routine 22 for transferring the integral initial value to the variables by reference to the source address and destination addresses described in the transfer table 21.
