PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion pressure sensor having that is superior in detection accuracy and durability. SOLUTION: This combustion pressure sensor 1 is used for detecting the combustion pressure inside a combustion chamber 61 of an internal combustion engine. The combustion pressure sensor 1 has a hollow housing 2, mounted on the internal combustion engine so that the tip side is positioned on the combustion chamber 61 side; a transfer member 3, inserted and arranged slidably into an axial hole 22 of the housing 2 so that a tip pressure receiving part 31 is exposed from the tip part 21 of the housing 2, for transferring the combustion pressure in the combustion chamber 61; a load detection part 4 disposed between the housing 2 and the transfer member 3, for detecting the change in the load applied between the housing 2 and the transfer member 3; and a heat releasing member 5 disposed slidably, relative to the transfer member 3 between the housing 2 and the transfer member 3 at a side farther to the tip side than the load detection part 4, for releasing the heat of combustion gas entering the axial hole 22 of the housing 2 from the combustion chamber 61, to the housing 2 side by heat transfer.
