PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater simply and positively providing a structure for receiving rainwater intruding from an arrangement part of an upper part area of waterproof packing. SOLUTION: In the water heater 1, inner circumferential joints between a case body 2 and a front cover 3 composing a packaging case 10 are regarded as inner flanges 20, 30, and the waterproof packing 17 is interposed between the inner flanges 20, 30. A seal plate 7 composing an upper rim of the inner flange 30 of the front cover 3 is extended downward more than the upper part area of the waterproof packing 17, and it is acutely bent sixty degrees toward a case body 2 side to form a water receiving part 70. By this, by attaching the front cover 3 to the case body 2, the structure receiving the rainwater R intruding from the arrangement part of the upper part area of the waterproof packing is simply, positively and inexpensively provided without adding another component. Strength of the seal plate 7 is improved by carrying out bending to form the water receiving part 70, and sealing performance in this portion is improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
