PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crossing barrier capable of simplifying a constitution and miniaturizing a device while can obtain preferable torque balance in a barrier rod. SOLUTION: The crossing barrier 1 is provided with the barrier rod 3; a turning member 5 for supporting the barrier rod and supported so as to be integrally turned with the barrier rod on a first turning shaft 15; a ball nut 7 turnably mounted to the turning member on a second turning shaft 19; a ball screw 9 having one end side thread-engaged with the ball nut; a drive source 11 for giving drive torque to the ball screw; and a coil spring 13 having one end connected to the ball nut. The ball screw is arranged at the inside of the coil spring, and the coil spring is arranged so as to be compressed by descending action of the barrier rod through the ball nut.
