PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a threshing apparatus solving the problem that, in making a retreatment in a tailings treating chamber, when the throughput in a threshing chamber is increased and exceeds a predetermined level, the level is too high to make the retreatment. SOLUTION: The threshing apparatus has the following construction and mechanism: A winnowing chamber 13 is installed under the threshing net 10 of the threshing chamber 3 and equipped with a swing separator 15. The flank of the threshing chamber 3 is equipped with a tailings treating chamber 25 having a treating cylinder 26 parallel to the axis of a threshing cylinder 2 and having treating teeth 27 around the outer circumference. A major part of the lower side of the basal side of the treating cylinder 26 is encircled by a tailings receiver 28. The tip side of the receiver 28 is provided with a port 30 via which tailings in the treating chamber 25 are discharged, wherein the port 30 can be regulated to be narrow/wide by a conveying guide 31 fitted on the tip of the receiver 28 so as to be movable in the longitudinal direction of the receiver 28, and the guide 31 is set under the receiver 28 a smaller-than-grain spacing apart therefrom.
