An anti-glare lens and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce an amount of light passing through the lens by forming slit coating layers on an upper surface of a lens base. An anti-glare lens has a lens base(10) and plural slit coating layers(11). An upper surface of the lens base has a convex shape, while a lower surface thereof has a concave shape. The line-type slit coating layers are formed with a predetermined distance between them. An outer diameter of the lens base lies between 50 and 100mm. The slit coating layer is formed, such that an outer diameter thereof lies between 45 and 95mm on an outer periphery of the lens base. A light transmittance of the slit coating layer lies between 10 and 80%. A width of the slit coating layer lies between 0.1 and 0.3mm. A distance between two slit coating layers(11') lies between 0.1 and 0.3mm. |
