An image creating apparatus and a control method thereof are provided to improve user's convenience by receiving a word which a user wants among words to be a printing target and outputting the word and note information about the word together. A user input device(10) receives the selection of a user for words to be a printing target. A communication unit(11) receives note information about a word which the user selects among the words from an external information storage device. A data processing unit(20) performs printing on the basis of printing data. A control unit(30) receives the note information about the word which the user selects and controls the communication unit and the printing data processing unit to print the received note information with the word which the user selects.
