<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyphenylene sulfide resin which has little evolved amount of the volatile components at the time of melt flowing and melting. <P>SOLUTION: The polyphenylene sulfide resin comprises a thermal-oxidation treated polyphenylene sulfide resin, has an evolved gas amount volatilized of 0.3% by weight or less at the time of heat melting at 320°C for 2 hours under vacuum, and has a residue of 4.0% by weight or less at the time of filtering under heat and pressure with a PTFE membrane filter having a pore size of 1 μm after dissolved in a twenty-fold weight of 1-chloronaphthalene at 250°C for 5 minutes, and also has a melt flow rate (on the basis of ASTM D-1238-70, measured at a temperature of 315.5°C and under a load of 5,000 g) of more than 500 g/10 min. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
