<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgery supporting system for ophthalmology which facilitates operation of surgical instruments and also facilitates accurate positioning of a distal end of a surgical instrument against an affected area. <P>SOLUTION: The surgery supporting system for ophthalmology comprises a holding unit 300 for holding a surgical instrument movably in the axial direction and tilting units 400 and 500 for holding the holding unit so that the surgical instrument tilts two-dimensionally centering a predetermined point O. Each tilting unit has a mechanism for switching a tilting range of the surgical instrument between a coarse driving range and a fine driving range, a means for giving resistance so as to make an operation of an operator to tilt an surgical instrument heavier in the fine driving range compared to a tilting operation in the coarse driving range, and a means for fixing the tilt of the surgical instrument. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
