<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of dealing with a request of data from an external device while maintaining low power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: When the image forming apparatus 10 moves to a first power saving mode, it stops supplying of power to a part of modules, such as a reading module 28. When the image forming apparatus 10 moves to a second power saving mode, it stores at least a part of data stored in a second storing section 216 constituted of a hard disk drive in a first storing section 214 constituted of a memory of an RAM or the like. When the image forming apparatus 10 receives a request of a job from an external device in the second power saving mode, it corresponds to the request of the job based on the data stored at least either the first storing section 214 or the second storing section 216. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
