<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fingering information generating device for generating fingering information of fingering easy to play in consideration of the hand position moving according to the progression of music. <P>SOLUTION: Discontinuities of operations for key-operating from music data MidiEvent representing each tone for constituting music are detected. Phrase data Phrase for specifying each section separated by the detected discontinuities is generated and the hand position is set according to the operation range defined by the key position of the highest pitch and the lowest pitch key-operated in the section, at every section specified by the generated phrase data Phrase.
