<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a syringe pump providing improved transfusion accuracy regardless of the capacity, kind or manufacturer of a syringe when setting the syringe in an immobile state at a fixed position, setting a syringe pusher to a slider and transfusing the contents of the syringe by a piston motion caused by the movement of the slider, and a method of use thereof. <P>SOLUTION: In the syringe pump, a syringe cylinder part S is correctly set in the immobile state at the fixed position; the syringe pusher SP is set to the slider 50 and the contents of the syringe is transfused by the piston motion caused by the movement of the slider. The syringe pump is provided with: a slider feed mechanism for driving the slider to replenish shortfall in transfusion immediately after driving the slider; an occlusion pressure detection sensor 72 for detecting an occlusion pressure for monitoring the occlusion state of the syringe; a syringe setting part for setting contents including the different capacity of the syringe; and a control means for performing feedback control of the slider feed mechanism in accordance with the occlusion pressure detected by the occlusion pressure detection sensor immediately after the drive of the slider and the setting contents set by the syringe setting part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
