PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellulose acylate pellet which can eliminate the generation of gel-form objects and hollow foreign substances at the time of a molten film making.

SOLUTION: This cellulose acylate pellet is heated for one hour at 240°C in an atmosphere having an oxygen concentration of 10% or lower, and then, is dissolved in a tetrahydrofuran to prepare the solution of a solid component concentration of 0.5 mass%. In this case, the quantity of an insoluble object of which the diameter is 2 μm or higher other than a particle additive existing in the solution is 0 to 20 pieces per 1 g of the pellet in the cellulose acylate pellet.
