PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile robot incorporating a scheduled path advance display function for simply and intelligibly displaying in advance its moving speed and moving direction of the moving robot which moves on a traveling surface without using any voice or character. SOLUTION: This mobile robot which can move on the traveling surface is provided with a driving wheel drive unit 12 for driving driving wheels 10 and 11 for moving the mobile robot; an advance display device 14 for plotting the scheduled path of the mobile robot on the traveling surface by using the rays of light; and a control computer 13 for controlling the driving wheel driving device 12 and the advance display device 14, to plot the scheduled path on the traveling surface at predetermined time interval.
