PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin display device having no possibility of fixing a stand reverse in front and rear in a case, in case a post of a stand is inserted and fixed into an aperture formed in the case housing a display panel and the case is supported by the stand. SOLUTION: The quadrangular prism-shaped post 42 of the stand 40 includes projections 43, 43 respectively on the back side at the top ends of both side faces. The approximately rectangular aperture 20 provided with notches 21, 21 is formed on the under surface of the case 10 so as to have approximately the same shape as the peripheral shape at the top end of the post 42. As a result, in the case of inserting the post 42 of the stand 40 through the aperture 20 into the case 10, the insertion is no more possible unless the projections 43, 43 and the notches 21, 21 are aligned.
