PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear tooth load measuring device capable of performing easily strain gage processing to a pulley, and thereby sticking accurately a strain gage onto the pulley, and having improved measurement accuracy, and a pulley for gear tooth load measurement used therefor. SOLUTION: This gear tooth load measuring device 1 for measuring the gear tooth load generated by engagement between a toothed belt and a toothed pulley has the pulley 10 for gear tooth load measurement equipped with a pulley tooth 12 for measurement for measuring the gear tooth load, and a pulley mounting shaft 20 for mounting the pulley 10 for gear tooth load measurement. In the gear tooth load measuring device 1, the pulley tooth 12 for gear tooth load measurement can be divided and detached from the pulley 10 for gear tooth load measurement.
