PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling member for motor and a rolling bearing for motor by which hydrogen embrittlement flaking can be prevented while suppressing the increase of manufacturing costs. SOLUTION: The rolling member for motor, constituting a ball bearing 1 for motor which axially supports, rotatably, a rotating shaft 32 of a motor 3 with respect to a housing 33 disposed in a manner to face an outer peripheral surface 32A of the rotating shaft 32, is composed of steel having a composition which consists of, by mass, 0.25 to 0.65% carbon, 0.15 to 0.35% silicon, 0.6 to 0.9% manganese and the balance iron with inevitable impurities and in which chromium content is controlled to≤0.3 mass%.
