SPACE TRANSDUCER FOR MUTUAL CONNECTION OF RF(RADIO FREQUENCY) AND LOW CURRENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a space transducer having a required characteristic impedance for RF measurement and a required protective property for a high accuracy DC (direct current) measurement while not necessitating the constitution of a transducer at each different configuration and capable of being applied for both the measurement. SOLUTION: The space transducer is constituted of an insulating substrate 12 and a plurality of test terminal assemblies 14 on the substrate while individual test terminal assembly 14 is made to contact with a DUT (device under test). Each test terminal assemblie 14 is provided with a central conductor trace 16 on an upper substrate surface and a pair of upper substrate protective traces 20 at both sides of a lower substrate protective trace 18 below a central conductor trance 16 and the central conductor trace 16. These protective traces are connected to each other electrically and combined with the central conductor trace 16 to give a desired characteristic impedance of an RF (radio frequency) signal applied between upper and lower substrate protective traces or form a protective DC connecting unit for a DC signal applied to the central conductor trace 16 and a DC protective signal applied to the protective trace.
