PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic data-demodulating method which prevents wrong determination, when a degaussed spot exists in data in a magnetic recording medium, and to enhance accuracy of demodulation. SOLUTION: The magnetic data-demodulating method reads out magnetic data recorded to a magnetic recording medium with a magnetic head, generates digital signals from the analog signals thus read out and compares the inverting time intervals of the digital signals with prescribed bit reference time to generate bit data from the digital signals. In this case, the method includes a first step which compares the inverting time intervals of the digital signals with bit-omitted reference time which is longer than the prescribed bit reference time and a second step which stops the generation of the bit data, when the inverting time intervals of the digital signals are longer than the bit-omitted reference time, based on the first step.
