PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic discharge protection device for an optical disk drive. SOLUTION: The circuit of a printed circuit board is arranged between an optical disk drive tray and a substrate, and stuck to a tray front end surface. A press button, a display lamp hole, and an emergency eject hole are provided on a substrate. The electrostatic discharge protection device includes a tact switch circuit provided to eject a disk from an optical disk drive by pressing the press button, a light emitting diode, a ground exposure circuit on a printed circuit board, and at least one exposure circuit disposed near the tact switch, the light emitting diode, and the emergency eject hole. A tray backside is covered with a metal bottom plate, brought into contact with the exposure circuit, and connected to a main circuit board via a flat cable to form a ground, thereby removing static electricity.
