PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intraocular lens insertion apparatus capable of pushing out a lens smoothly into an eye by an extruding shaft as it is from the state of keeping the lens. SOLUTION: The insertion apparatus is the lens insertion apparatus of the intraocular lens for moving the intraocular lens 1 from a lens holding part in the distal end direction of the insertion apparatus by the extruding shaft 6 and inserting it into the eye. The lens holding part has a first holding part 4 and a second holding part 3 which can be abutted to surfaces on the mutually opposite sides in a lens marginal part. When a position in the distal end direction viewing from the center of the lens at the marginal part is defined as a 0°position, the first holding part 4 can be abutted to a region behind the position of a first circumferential direction angle at least larger than 45°and smaller than 70°on both sides in the circumferential direction from the 0°position of the marginal part. The second holding part 3 can be abutted to a region behind the position of a second circumferential direction angle larger than the first circumferential direction angle on both sides in the circumferential direction from the 0°position of the marginal part.
