ARRAY SUBSTRATE AND DISPLAY PANEL HAVING THE SAME

An array substrate and a display panel having the same are provided to remove a black matrix in a color filter substrate in correspondence with an area in which a data line is formed by enabling the data line to remove a first light incident from the rear of a base substrate, thereby improving the aperture ratio of the display panel. A pixel area(PA) is defined with a RA(Reflecting Area) and a TA(Transmitting Area) in a base substrate. A gate unit(120) is composed of a gate line(121) on the base substrate and a gate electrode(122) diverged from the gate line. A gate insulating layer covers the gate unit. A data unit(130) is equipped with the gate insulating layer, is composed of a data line(131) of defining the PA by insulatedly crossing with the gate line, a source electrode(132) diverged from the data line, and a drain electrode(133) which is spaced from the source electrode and is equipped with the reflecting area to reflect a first light provided from the outside. The insulating layer covers the data unit and forms a contact hole of exposing a part of the drain electrode. A pixel electrode(140) is equipped on the insulating layer corresponding to the PA to transmit a second light incident from the rear of the base substrate, is electrically connected to the drain electrode through the contact hole, and includes the data line and a pixel electrode overlapped with the drain electrode.
