<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program, a method, and a device for processing images, which are capable of visually telling a propriety of printing to a user by a display image itself. <P>SOLUTION: The image size of an input image and the image size of an output image are compared with each other. When it is judged that the input image is smaller in image size than the output image, an intermediate image is formed where an input image is set lower in resolution than a usual thumbnail image, the actual size of the intermediate image is increased to the actual size of the thumbnail image without changing the total number of pixels whereby the thumbnail image reduced in resolution is formed, and the thumbnail image is displayed together with the other thumbnail images on a list.
