PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide glass beads for producing fused and solidified glass which have superior fluidity in a given transporting environment and do not cause plugging, holding up and an uneven flow of the glass beads in their transporting line. SOLUTION: The glass beads for producing fused and solidified glass which have superior fluidity are obtained by washing glass beads with a surfactant solution obtained by diluting a nonionic surfactant, with a solvent by 100-200 times, draining the surfactant solution, and drying the glass beads after draining.
