PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change a device used for braking a printed sheet material in a paper delivery machine of a printer, particularly a rotary printer, into a device for supporting the sheet material, at a slight mounting cost. SOLUTION: This device has a storage cavity part 10 formed by a first defining member 8 penetrated by a driving shaft 6, and a second defining member 9 provided axially spaced from the first defining member 8. Selectively, the storage cavity part is for a braking ring 7, or a closing member 20 can be built in the storage cavity part, and an opening of a suction channel 13 joining into the storage cavity part 10 is forcibly closed by building in the closing member 20. In this case, the surfaces 8.1, 9.1 of the defining members 8, 9 facing the sheet material 1 function as sheet material support surfaces. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
