An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a driving method thereof are provided to change the connection structure of gate driving units and color pixels formed on both sides of the liquid crystal panel, thereby improving the defect of image quality by spatially compensating an output variation generated in both gate driving units. A liquid crystal panel(200) forms first and second gate line groups in a horizontal direction, forms data lines perpendicular to the first and second gate line groups, and includes plural pixels composed of red, green, and blue color pixels in a vertical direction. A first gate driving unit(220) is arranged in a side of the liquid crystal panel and drives the first gate line group. The second gate driving unit(230) is arranged in the other side of the liquid crystal panel and drives the second gate line group. A data driving unit(240) drives the data lines(DL1,DL2,DL3). A timing controller(250) controls the driving timing of the data driving unit and the gate driving unit. |
