PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching power supply device, electronic apparatus, and method for controlling switching power circuit. SOLUTION: In controlling the switching power circuit switching an input DC power supply with a switching device 22 for voltage conversion, a rectangular wave of always constant duty is generated to control switching with the switching device 22. Then a voltage of an output obtained by smoothing an output of the switching device 22 is monitored, and a generation period of the rectangular wave is controlled so that the output voltage is accommodated so as to be within a fixed range. Further, a gate drive voltage of the switching device 22 is gradually raised in starting to restrain a rush current in starting. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
