PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an attenuator that allows distortion characteristics at the same level of transmission power, in a through-state and in an attenuation state. SOLUTION: The attenuator is provided with a first diode, a first control voltage terminal, a second diode, first and second resistors, third and fourth diodes, a fifth capacitor, second and third and fourth control voltage terminals, and a linearizer provided between an input terminal and an anode of the first diode. The linearizer linearizes a signal inputted from the input terminal, only when a low-level voltage is applied to the first and fourth control voltage terminals and a high-level voltage is applied to the second and third control voltage terminals.
